Lisa Harper-Brown sensational at Wagner Society Concert

To a packed audience of the Wagner Society at the Goethe Institute in Woollahra, Australian Dramatic Soprano, Lisa Harper-Brown gave suave and electrifying performances of Elsa’s Dream from Wagner’s LOHENGRIN, the Wesendonck Lieder and Sieglinde’s Narration (Der Manne sippe) from Wagner’s DIE WALKURE. With beautifully coloured vocal tone she gave well nuanced readings of the songs and opera excerpts proving again she is one of our leading sopranos in this repertoire. She was accompanied by conductor and pianist Stephen Mould.
Her past roles include performances of Agathe in DER FREISCHUTZ, Salome, Eva in DIE MEISTERSINGERS, Senta in DER FLIEGLENDE HOLLANDER, Elsa in LOHENGRIN with Opera Australia and both Gerhilde and Ortllinde in DIE WALKURE with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and State Opera of South Australia respectively.
A further concert for the Wagner Society in NSW together with Warwick Fyfe and Stephen Mould is planned for later in the year.
Hopes are high for her to perform in the Melbourne RING in 2013.
Best wishes to Lisa for a stunning concert.
