SOSA sells up 2004 Ring props and costumes
The State Opera of South Australia has announced the sale of costumes, props, fabrics, laces, shoes, boots and much much more from their now seemingly defunct 2004 production of Wagner’s RING DES NIEBELUNGEN.The spectacular and highly regarded production was designed by Michael Scott-Mitchell (sets) and Stephen Curtis (costumes). For several years until recently the State Opera of South Australia had hoped to revive the production, but suitable Government funding has repeatedly been refused. The final nail in the coffin is the planned staging of a new production of the Ring by Opera Australia in Melbourne in late 2013. Vale the SOSA Ring.
