Great casts, and great to see Jay Hunter morris returning to Australia to sing. He last sang here as Pinkerton to Cheryl Barker’s Butterfly in the Oxenbould MADAMA BUTTERFLY in 1997 (the performance available on DVD), and the return of Grant Doyle to his home town from his successes in the UK, particularly at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden and Opera North. He is due to sing Billy in the new Mark Anthony Turnage opera, ANNA NICOLE at Covent Garden next month. Also interesting to see that all of the operas are being conducted by fine Australian conductors. Good work SOSA !
